Mid-Summer News and Results!

Summer 2013 has been a great one so far for Law Eventing and their horses and students! We have been busier than ever and thus we've been slow to update our news!

We ended last season with some great results in the Ocala Three Day with Toute de Suite winning the one star, What Law 10th in his first two star, and student Dana Carlin placing 3rd in the one star! As well, prior to that we had numerous placings at the Red Hills CIC!

This summer the horses have been cracking on with Zenith ISF ~ 2nd at his first OI of the season, Billy Wiz winning a prelim and placing 4th in an OI, What Law placing 2nd in a prelim and then 5th in an OI, Toute de Suite winning and placing in every prelim he has entered to date, Unborn de Lelo placing or winning almost every training he has entered, and Cloudy and Cooley winning almost every training he entered and then winning his first p/t by a margin of 10 points and then finishing 6th in his first prelim on a 29 dressage and double clear showjumping and clear jumping xc! So, we couldn't really be happier with our horses right now and are thrilled with the quality of horses we have at the moment!

This has not been a summer of poolside BBQ's or trips to the beach! We have a full barn at present with a top class group of students who we are very proud of. We have also been kept very busy with numerous clinics from New York to Indiana, Alberta to Kentucky, and all points in between!

We also made a brief trip to the UK to purchase a young rider's horse and a young horse for two clients of ours and have been very pleased with what we came home with and will be leaving soon for Ireland to look at some young horses.

In September we will look forward to the AEC's in Texas (although not so much looking forward to the drive) and we will also attend the Poplar Place horse trials in September. We are starting to think about fall three days in which Zenith ISF and Billy Wiz will most likely travel up to Fairhill for the two and three stars while all our other horses will have a season off three days until next spring.

Liam has as well kept us on our toes with his busy summer schedule of camp and swim lessons but it has been very fun to watch him grow and learn new skills!

We hope your summer has been going as well as ours has and happy eventing!
